Okay, so I’m sure a lot of you know by now what the #1800MinuteChallenge is all about, but just in case you don’t, it was a challenge created by Erin where you aim to complete 1800 minutes of physical activity from April 1st- May 31st. Simple as that. Or so I had originally thought.
Well, yesterday, on May 30th, with just one day to spare, I finally reached my total for the #1800MinuteChallenge and, I must say, it feels pretty darn good to see that number up there because there were quite a few times over the last few weeks that I honestly questioned whether or not I was actually going to be able to finish it.
It’s funny because this challenge was approached pretty much the same way I tackle the majority of other things in my life; with a lot of procrastination. As always, the big slacker in me thought it would be fun to see just how far I could push everything to the last minute, because with only three weeks left to the challenge, I had almost 1100 minutes left to complete. But, just like with those other things I try and do, I always pick it up a notch and work as hard as I can when I know it is desperately needed. I hate giving up on things I set out to do. Yeah, I know
Here’s a small glimpse into the last two months:
For those of you who wanted to sign up for this challenge but didn’t get a chance, Erin is starting a #1000in30 challenge for the month of June, so hop on over right now and join. This was such a great challenge and, believe it or not coming from this slacker, such a great way to find some balance when it comes to exercising. Too busy one day to find the time to get outside? No problem, just do some extra time the next day….or, if you’re anything like me, a lot of extra time the next week!!!!
Oh, I’m not sure if you remember or not, but me and Todd decided to turn this challenge into a competition between us to see who could reach the most minutes. Although we finished with a tie, for the majority of the challenge Todd was in the lead. I wasn’t proud about this so obviously I had to do a few hikes on my own to redeem myself! Mission accomplished! 😉
Woo! Way to finish and get all your minutes in!
What a fun challenge! Great job getting in all your minutes!
Way to get it done!! Such a fun challenge and it does make you motivated to hit the number!
This is such a great idea! I always have like 2 good days of activity followed by like 20 bad ones! Congratulations on finishing!!
Atta girl Renee. I'm doing the 1000 by 30 also (hopefully) if I don't put it off too much. I hope you've been doing well.
Yay! That's a good idea to count by the minutes instead of focusing on miles or whatever. Congrats!

Congrats girl! Such an awesome accomplishment. I'm TERRIBLE at sticking to things like that.
Nice work lady!!! If I tried to compete against my husband, I'd get my butt kicked. Good luck with June! Keep up the good work!!!
