Recipe// Protein Balls

I can’t believe I’m here sharing another recipe so soon.  I know this looks like I’m now turning into a pro, but I should warn you that this recipe only calls for four ingredients and zero baking, so I don’t deserve that title quite yet. You will thank me though if you ever make them because they’re such a tasty little snack.

My friend gave me the recipe for these protein balls about a year ago and since then, I’ve made them too many times to count. I usually eat them if I just want something sweet or if I’m going to the gym and I need something to help me make it through that hour. Todd, however, usually eats them whenever he opens the fridge door.

My mom also really likes them. And I know you’re thinking that mom’s are going to say that regardless because that’s what mom’s do, but let me first tell you what she said.  She was at my house over the weekend when I made them and she ended up taking one with her when she left.  A couple of hours later she called me and said, “Renee, when you come down later can you bring me another one of those things you made?  Surprisingly they were really good.  I was actually really surprised”.   HAHAHA!  Gee, thanks mom!  We actually both laughed over the phone and then she said, “I guess I’m not helping your self esteem”.

Here’s what you’ll need:

-Protein Powder

-Peanut Butter

-Rolled Oats

-Honey

ONE//  Add one cup of peanut butter and a half a cup (or less) of honey together and put it in the microwave for about 45 seconds.
My measurements look quite off but that’s the great thing about this recipe, you can’t fool it up!
They still tasted great (just ask my mom haha)
TWO// Add 1-2 scoops of protein powder (I always add 2).

It can be any kind, I’ve used vanilla, chocolate and banana before and they were all great!

THREE// Add in 1.5 – 2 cups of rolled oats

FOUR//  Start rolling them into little balls (or squares if you like that shape better!!!)

And that’s it!!!!

FIVE//  Refrigerate. They taste best if you leave them for a couple of hours.

Hope you enjoy!!!

I love that you don't have to bake them. This is just the sort of thing that my husband would love… and that I would probably wind up eating all of. haha 🙂 They really are a great idea. Thanks for sharing!

Those look amazing! I might add some chia seeds (not for taste, but because everyone says they're good for you hahaha), I like that you used ingredients that everyone has around. I might have to try these 🙂
